Just when you thought your ride couldn’t get any sweeter, along comes the Head Candy helmet. Lashings of ice cream, rainbow cookies and ice pops to cool you down on lazy summer rides. Creamy hot chocolate and gooey cake to warm you up when the nights draw in. Mmmmmm….
A helmet is only as good as its fit.
Maximum protection demands a snug, well-aligned fit that is comfortable, yet secure. This is why Hornit helmets feature a fully adjustable ring adjuster – rotate right to tighten and left to loosen. Our three-way adjustable chin strap and the strong and secure buckle ensures the helmet always stays in place. Removable soft foam allows further flexibility for size and fit during growing years. Made from durable, weather-proof plastic, Hornit helmets protect your kids as they brave the rain, snow, and wind. Eleven air vents on each helmet ensure even air flow to keep them cool and comfortable. The rear safety light alerts distracted drivers or pedestrians to your child’s presence. Combining style and safety, Hornit helmets come in a range of fun designs.
What do the sizes mean?
Our small helmet fits head circumferences between 48-53cm. Our medium helmets fit head circumferences between 54-58cm. The measurement (in cm) refers to the circumference around the largest part of the rider’s head (approximately 1cm above the rider’s eyebrows). Our helmets generally fit children aged 3+. This isn’t a rule though – actual sizing is critical – so please measure up!
Are the helmets adjustable?
Yes! We have a ring adjuster at the back of the helmet (with an integrated LED light) which tightens and loosens to ensure the helmet fits snuggly to you’re the rider’s head. The straps that clip under the chin are also adjustable. The ring adjuster should be tightened until the fit is firm, but comfortable and the chin strap should fit snugly under the chin.
The batteries in my LED light have stopped working, what do I do?
If your LED light at the back of the helmet has stopped working, then it almost certainly needs new batteries. Unscrew the two small screws and put in 2 new AG3 batteries or 1 new CR2032 battery depending on which LED you have. If this doesn’t fix the problem, then contact us and we will help!
